How to tell if he's the one

With so many fish in the sea, it can be pretty difficult to figure out if you've caught the right one. It's important to gauge your own feelings and reflecting on the relationship as a whole, but that can be pretty hard to do if you think you're falling head over heels in love. However, introducing him or her to the most important people in your life is super important to your relationship moving forward and to being able to tell if they're the one for you.

Regardless of how close you are with your family, you should have them meet your new bf or gf to gage their thoughts. Unless your entire family is crazy, and the odds of that are extremely low, then at least one person in your family should like the lucky guy or gal. If every single member of your family is against you dating that person and can list valid reasons why they don't like the person, then that's a pretty good sign that they probably aren't the one for you.

The closer you are to that specific family member, the more important their opinion is. For example, if you're not that close to your older brother, it might not mean much if they aren't a huge fan of your new significant other. But if your cousin who you talk to every single day hates the new boy or girl then that could be a big problem.
However, there's a second screening test for all new baes. If your new relationship can't withstand the friend test then that could be a huge red flag. At least one of your friends should be able to say they like him or her after going out to dinner or hanging out for the first time. If your boyfriend or girlfriend has met all your friends and no one really likes them then that could be a pretty solid sign to reconsider your relationship.

Sometimes the people we're closest to in life, know us better than we even know ourselves. So make sure to get a second or third opinion on bae in order to figure out if they're really right for you.
